Redken hair products is a haircare brand founded in 1960 by actress Paula Kent and chemist Jehri Redding. Kent and Redding brought products to market and Kent continued to lead the brand. L’Oreal purchased Redken in 1993 and the brand relocated to New York after a 1994 earthquake destroyed its California headquarters. The renamed Redken 5th Avenue has a longstanding relationship with the fashion world.
